Pro Tips

Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. Click here to see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale.

Supplies Needed

HANGERS – in order to protect your clothing items we only accept plastic hangers. Find plastic hangers at Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar Stores. Retail plastic hangers are acceptable too.

STRING TAGS – Avery White Marking Tags Strung (size 1.75 x 1.093 inches) are required on each item to affix our barcode labels to. You can find these at Wal-Mart, office supply stores, the Rhea Lana Store or large quantities may be purchased from Amazon.

You’ll also need re-sealable bags (for shoes, small toys, etc…), masking tape, scotch tape, sharpie, and safety pins. For large quantities of quality safety pins we recommend ordering from Cleaners Supply .

If you would like to print your barcodes at home you’ll need adhesive address labels size 1” X 2 5/8” (30 up). We recommend ordering from Amazon Here. Please note: all labels printed at home MUST be printed in color.

BARCODE YOUR ITEMS AT HOME. ---------------ATTENTION! --------------- IF YOU WANT YOUR ITEMS GUARANTEED AGAINST LOSS OR THEFT, YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 DESCRIPTIONS ON THE TAG

Not only can you attach your barcode stickers to your items at home, we encourage it! Although it is not required, it will greatly expedite your time spent at Consignor Check-In!
1. Print your barcodes at home. They must be printed on the appropriate labels and in COLOR.
2. Pick up your printed barcodes at one of our Early Barcode pick up times.
3. Have your barcode labels mailed right to your door! A $5.00 postage fee will be deducted from your check. Visit our Consignor Services webpage for the Sign Up to request barcode labels.

CLOTHING

The better they look, AND SMELL, the better they sell! Please take time to wash and iron your clothes if necessary. Please check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc. Our inspectors will be double checking at the store and will not receive any item that is not in excellent, "LIKE NEW," condition.

  • Use children's plastic hangers for sizes 5 and below. Use larger plastic hangers for sizes 6 and above. You may also use wire coated hangers as long as they are size appropriate and bent at the tip of the hook. No metal/wire hangers! Plastic and wire-coated hangers can be purchased at discount stores. You may be able to obtain hangers at Walmart, Old Navy, Kohl's, etc at the end of each day before they throw them out. THEY ARE FREE!!


  • We will accept Spring/Summer Clothing.
    Save your winter specific clothing (winter theme, winter holidays) for the Fall/Winter event.

    We do not accept formal dresses.

    Please group items together so that they will equal to a value of at least $4.00. They may be pinned together on a hanger or use a rubber band to group hangers.

    Pants are ideally hung with a clip hanger. This can hang alone, or have the loop at the top that hangs over the shirt hanger. If you are using a regular hanger for pants, make sure they are pinned, not folded over, as they tend to end up on the floor.

    Sets may be hung with "set" hangers to display them nicely. This is a hanger that is made for 2 or more pieces, or a regular hanger for the top and and "pant" hanger for the bottom which either loops around the shirt hangers hook, or rubber band the two piece hangers together. All pieces need to be visible while hanging together.

    ATTENTION: please do NOT attach burp cloths, bibs or baby towels to hangers. They will be placed in a laundry basket. You may pin them together or place in ziploc gs.

    LIMITS

    *We have overall item limit of 300 per consignor number. You may obtain as many consignor numbers as you wish!

    *NEWBORN HANGING CLOTHING ITEMS
    (SIZES 0-9 MONTHS)
    40 ITEMS PER GENDER PER CONSIGNOR

    *We accept all brands breast pumps except Medela.

    *JUNIOR CLOTHING (sizes 16-adult XXL). THERE IS A LIMIT OF 20 JUNIOR CLOTHING ITEMS. They MUST be current styles and brands. If you have a question about a certain brand, please ask on the Consignor Club Facebook page or text Sherrie at (479) 595-4222 to confirm.

    Please group items together so that they will equal a value of at least $4.

    We take current styles that have been in the popular stores or boutiques within the last 2-3 years, are trendy and are of current fashion geared to ages 16-24
    We do NOT accept formal dresses or prom dresses.



    SHOES-MUST BE IN GREAT CONDITION and please ziptie together if possible - no ziploc bags needed!

    Please only bring your LIKE-NEW shoes! Please follow these simple instructions when preparing your shoes. First, PLEASE PUT YOUR CONSIGNOR NUMBER AND PRICE ON A PIECE OF MASKING TAPE ON THE BOTTOM OF or INSIDE OF EACH SHOE. Then safety pin the string tag to a shoe lace or through the shoe eyelet, AND ziptie the two shoes together so they do not get separated. SHOES THAT ARE TOO WORN, DIRTY OR HAVE HEAVY SCUFF MARKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Shoes no longer are required to be in ziploc bags.... we encourage you to ziptie shoes together so they do not get separated during the sale.

    BEDDING

    It is best to package a bedding set together in its original clear plastic bag with zipper. These can also be purchased at discount stores. WE ONLY ACCEPT BEDDING THAT CAN BE USED IN AN INFANT, CHILD OR TEEN ROOM up to full sizes. No Queen or King bedding. No adult bedding will be accepted.

    ***POLY-FIL CRIB BUMPERS (of any kind) ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTED DUE TO THE RECENT SAFETY ISSUES. We WILL be accepting the mesh crib liners.

    Blankets: ...Hang and pin blankets over hangers so that shoppers can see them. If they are small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together in a ziploc bag and seal with clear plastic tape. Safety pin tag to ziploc bag.

    LOOSE ITEMS

    Bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc group together appropriately in ziploc bags. PLEASE REMOVE ALL USED NIPPLES FROM BOTTLES. Seal with clear packing tape. Pin tag to ziploc bag. It also helps to write your consignor number and price on the ziploc with a Sharpie in case the tag comes off during the sale.

    ATTENTION: please do NOT attach burp cloths, bibs or baby towels to hangers. They will be placed in a laundry basket.



    TOYS, FURNITURE AND BABY EQUIPMENT

    FIRST, PLEASE WRITE YOUR CONSIGNOR NUMBER AND A PRICE ON A PIECE OF MASKING TAPE AND ATTACH TO THE ITEM. This will allow us to sell your item if the tag happens to fall off.

    All items must be clean and in working order (batteries included.) Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated it will not sell. Games should be taped closed. Puzzles, books, videos and small toys should be grouped accordingly and put in ziploc bags. Secure with clear packing tape and pin tag to the ziploc bag. It is also good to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc bag with a Sharpie in case the tag comes off. Puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact. TOYS NOT PACKAGED APPROPRIATELY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

    We will only accept name brand stuffed animals or animals that require batteries. Name brands accepted are Disney, Nickelodeon, Build a Bear, etc. or other name brand stuffed animals in like new condition.

    TOYS! Outdoor toys, indoor toys, infant toys, wagons, bikes, YOU NAME IT! THEY SELL! Large Little Tikes and Power Wheels Toys and Furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off! We sell 95% of Toys, Furniture and Baby Equipment!

    FURNITURE! We accept ALL nursery furniture, children's furniture (desks, bookshelves, chairs, etc) and any bedroom furniture. We also accept patio sets and all outdoor furniture! We will be accepting all household furniture this event!

    BABY EQUIPMENT! We will have HUNDREDS of expecting families ready to buy your gently used high quality baby equipment... strollers, car seats, swings, pack n plays, mamaroos, 4moms, high chairs, bouncers, cribs, changing tables, bassinets, stroller wagons, etc!

    CAR SEATS and CRIBS

    Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five years OR not be expired. Expiration date listed on manufactured sticker. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. You may check the following website for current recalls: www.carseat.org/Recalls/179NP.pdf All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver stating your car seat has all the pieces and is in excellent condition, has never been in an accident and is not more than five years old. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons.

    Because of our high regard for the safety of children and in light of the recent ruling by the CPSC, Rhea Lana's Inc. will no longer be accepting ANY cribs manufactured before December 2010. Cribs manufactured between December 2010 and June 28, 2011, must have a certificate of compliance and not be recalled to be consigned with Rhea Lana's.
